Villa Vauban - Musée d'art de la Ville de Luxembourg
corporate identity, 2009
Art unveiled.
In the Villa Vauban, the public will discover all the facets of an artwork: history, motivations of the collector, historical, social and artistic context. This "hidden world" of the artwork is translated by a surface with a triangular "reversed" corner which reveals an "underneath".
The logotype links classic typography with serifs (Plantin) to a modern triangular form: a surprising montage and a dynamic contrast, reflecting the architecture of the museum - a hybrid architecture in which the old reveals the new and vice-versa. The generic form of the triangle is at the heart of the CI: architecture, V - double initial of the museum's "public - mediation - art" relationships.
